A team of players 20-40 handicap travelled to the Hobart leg to represent RMTC in the new National League. Captained by John McNamara, it was a fantastic weekend of tennis and camaraderie. See the full report and results below.

Wednesday, 6th Aug
The Richmond Silver Racket was held as two round robin groups this year, with Eli Kozma, Graeme Blundstone and JWC playing on Friday night in front of a raucous First Friday crowd. Many thanks to Wendy Whitehead and Tim Raw for supplying a sumptuous feast of duck to keep the starving masses content. All matches went to three sets with JWC and Blundstone progressing to the finals on Sunday.
Friday, 1st Aug
The Boomerang Cup, a biennial international amateur teams handicap doubles tournament, will be held at The Royal Melbourne Tennis Club between 10 and 24 January 2026.
Thursday, 3rd Jul
Members are enjoying warming winter lunches, recently featuring lamb shanks, and Red Hill truffle infused dishes. Soup, steak and fish dishes feature on the weekly menu. Places are limited to 16 people per day , so be sure to make a booking with the Pros. You are invited to bring visitors, or join the Club table and enjoy the company of other members. On each Friday members are invited to join the President's doubles on Friday (10-12pm), followed by lunch.
