A small team of 5 keen players travelled to Hobart to represent the RMTC in the Judith Clarke Cup. It was close the whole weekend with Hobart leading narrowly for most of the competition. The final result was an 8 sets all draw!

Congratulations to John Woods-Casey who won the Tas Open singles and doubles championships. He retained the singles title by beating Kieran Booth and won the doubles title back with new partner Michael Williams, beating Booth and Alex Marino-Hume. Six pairs competed for the Platinum Handicap Doubles on Sunday morning. The youngsters were the stars for the day, amongst others, with Adela Michelson and Julia Sinclair taking out the final with their agility and power on full display.
Many thanks to Lizzie Brown for providing a delicious array of cakes for morning tea which kept the players going.

We had 10 players on hand for the second young members tournament of 2025, including a visitor from New Zealand. We had lots of close matches with good tennis followed by food, drinks and football. Congratulations to George Black for taking the day, winning all of his matches.

The Australian team had a very successful trip to the UK to play in the Clothier Cup and Limb Trophy tournaments. They competed above their handicaps against a very strong UK team in the Limb and beat the US team to win the Clothier Cup for the first time since 2015.
