Kieran Booth has equalled Michael Happell's record for RMTC Gold Racket titles, winning his 15th consecutive Gold Racket in 2025. He is well on the way to becoming the most successful Australian amateur tennis player in the RMTC's history. Michael Williams was a worthy opponent, showing good signs for his upcoming trip to Paris to compete in the Bathurst Cup in May 2026.

The last Breakfast Tournament of the year lived up to its name, as usual. Jonathan Sear provided yet another scrumptious salmon and egg breakfast to follow some willing and entertaining tennis. Rob Perry was the lucky third place winner to receive the trophy for the day, but the true winner on the day was tennis.

A marvellous day of tennis was had by all 20 players in attendance for the last junior event of the year. Many thanks go to Joseph Filippelli and Jackson Brand for catering with snacks and dinner following the final. The eventual winners were Adela Michelson and Julia Sinclair.

The Medal of Medallists is a knockout competition for players who have won a Quarterly Medal through the year. Many of the matches in the morning were tight, a particular mention has to go to Stephen Smith who managed to win both his first round and Quarter Final from 5/1 down. In the end Steve Wood and Ben Gearing made their way through to the final. It was a battle between experience and a new, fast improver and Ben proved that his rapid improvement was too much for the experience of Steve winning 6/4.

Title holder Rhys Williams took the court to try and defend the title he won for the first time the previous year. This year he was challenged by another former champion, Blake Hillebrand. Rhys has been the RMTC Foundation Scholarship recipient in 2025 and has made excellent use of it, demonstrating his improvement on Finals Day. Blake had no answers for the consistency shown by Rhys, who won the match 6/0 6/0.

Finals Day had a big turnout for the Christmas party and to see all the matches to conclude the Club Championships. All present enjoyed a spectacular feast provided by our chef Liza Turner alongside the entertainment on the courts.
The final of the Women's Club Championship was a familiar competition from the last few years with title holder Jo See Tan being challenged by Emma Clyde. They've played numerous times in recent years as they're both constantly striving to improve.
