Tuesday, 6th Jan
The final of the John Poolman Trophy was held on the First Friday of the Month in December. We had a large group of spectators for what was an exciting match between Emma Kininmonth and Hugh Dolan. Emma took an early lead before Hugh found his rhythm and came back. In the end, Emma was able to compose herself and take out the last few games and the Handicap competition for 2025.
Friday, 5th Dec
The RMTC Foundation is calling for expressions of interest in the RMTC Youth Tennis Scholarship.
This program is designed to attract and develop promising young players, by offering them an elite Real Tennis Scholarship. The successful applicant(s) will receive a personalised twelve-month training plan created by our Pros, which can include support for court time, lessons, membership fees, apparel, travel to tournaments, and equipment. Candidates must be aged between 16 and 23 years of age at 31 December 2025.

Wednesday, 3rd Dec
On November the 22nd the young members held their biannual Bring A Friend tournament. We had a wonderful turnout with many friends enthused and intrigued in our very complex sport of Real Tennis. All teams put in their best efforts, but non were strong enough to defeat Anthony Dask and his friend Cooper. After a full day of sport, all enjoyed pizza and drinks to end the day on a high.

The Parent and Offspring handicap doubles was such a fun morning of doubles. There were some terrific games with much entertainment on show.
This year we had President Buckley pairing up with young Will and First Lady Katie partnering Annabel in her debut tournament, the latter not only winning some entertaining matches but making the final, going from strength to strength.

A fun day of tennis was had by all players as new members joined with their more experienced proposers for handicap doubles. There were many good games through the day but the shining stars of the day made the final with John Hearst and the fast-improving Louise Field proving too strong for Joseph Filippelli and the also fast-improving Jimmy O'Sullivan.
