Internationality Handicap Doubles - Sun. 31 August

12 pairs of players turned out in their full regalia celebrating their country of affinity for the 2025 Internationality Handicap Doubles. We had teams celebrating countries all around the world from the local jackaroos to as far away as Scotland and Scandinavia.

Once again the Mackinnons (Andrew and Ken) were on hand to provide a sumptuous breakfast for those playing early games while players brought dishes of their country for lunch. In the end it was the jackaroos who prevailed over on of the teams from France, with father/son duo John and Tom McNamara adeptly handling a long handicap including chase restrictions against Eve Filippelli and Julia Sinclair.

The Best Dressed trophy was awarded to Eloise Hutchings, one of the members of team Vatican City.

Many thanks to the wonderful generosity of the Mackinnon family for sponsoring all of the juniors who played, providing the champagne for trophies and for sponsoring an open bar at the conclusion of play. A marvellous day of tennis a revelry was had by all who were present and would not have been possible without their support and hard work.
