The final was contested between Prue Gordon and Robyn Woods vs Stephen Smith and Daniel Jade in front of a packed crowd including Annie and John Link themselves.
The handicap difference of 19 was significant but not quite enough to stop the power hitting of Daniel and Stephen. Having access to the tambour and both their serves allowed any nerves to be kept under wraps. They took a 6/1 lead early but it got a little close for comfort late in the match as Prue and Robyn did their best to hang on in, clawing back a few games to make it a tight finish. In the end Stephen and Daniel held on for an impressive 9/6 victory.
We were then treated to Stephen showing us his amazing opera skills in a different take on a victory speech.
